S&W Excavating and Grading, a company with over 30 years of success, is seeking a Foreman to join their team in Byron, GA.
This is a travel-based role with a company vehicle. You’ll be on the road in-state throughout the week (up to 100% travel) and home on most weekends.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • In-state travel up to 100% of the time throughout the week.
  • Supervise and coordinate daily operations of field crews across excavation, grading, heavy civil, utility support.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, on schedule, and according to project specifications and quality standards.
  • Assign tasks, monitor crew performance, and provide guidance and training to team members.
  • Communicate daily with project managers and office staff regarding project progress, issues, and resource needs.
  • Inspect equipment and materials to ensure proper usage and maintenance, reporting any issues promptly.
  • Enforce safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and company policies on job sites.
  • Assist in planning and organizing workflow, including manpower, equipment, and materials.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients as needed to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Maintain accurate field documentation, including daily reports, timecards, and incident records.
  • Resolve on-site issues efficiently while keeping management informed of any delays or challenges.
  • Mentor crew members, fostering a collaborative and professional work environment.
