Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate heavy construction equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, rollers, and backhoes to perform earthmoving and site preparation activities.
  • Transport heavy equipment and material used for operations. Daily pre- and post-operation inspections of trucks and equipment to ensure safe and proper functioning.
  • Perform basic equipment maintenance including fueling, lubricating, and cleaning machines.
  • Work closely with site supervisors, surveyors, and crew members to complete projects safely and efficiently.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and job site safety requirements.
  • Maintain awareness of underground utilities and other hazards while operating equipment.
  • Assist with site cleanup, material movement, and other general construction tasks as needed.
  • Report equipment issues, maintenance needs, and safety concerns to supervisors promptly.
